The VARK analysis

I took the VARK analysis test after "The Learning and Skills Development for HE and Work" lecture in my second week at Anglia Ruskin University. Before this test I did not really expect any significant accuracy from such a test but surprisingly the test brought out a lot I think is quite helpful in understanding my learning styles.

-I had 14 points on read/write(R) learning strategies which was the highest for my analysis.Of course this is the way I have always learned. The advice that came with this attribute is something I should take note of to improve myself further.

-I had 9 points on Kinesthic(K) which really proves the practical person that I am.This is a point that showed me how I have been able to cope with the different environments up to date.

-Visual andAural were 8 and 6 points respectively and my lowest being Aural means I am not that much of a speaker (not really), but I would agree it is not one of my strongest areas.

On reflection this analysis gives me a picture of someone competent enough with a strong Read/Write bias.

Bsc Hons Business Information Systems (Anglia Ruskin University) Why?

Well hello world!

My name is Regis Chawasarira as reflected by the title of my Blog.I am a Zimbabwean by Birth and I now live in England with my Wife and Daughter.

I recently enrolled with Anglia Ruskin University as a mature student in their Faculty of Science and Technology ( Bsc Hons Business Information Systems).

I have been into computers since 1990 when I was working for the Zimbabwe Department of Customs and Excise.I was a Data Input Clerk and I moved up the ranks until the time I moved to The United Kingdom in 2002.

Settling in a different country was not an easy task considering where I was coming from but eventually I found my feet.

I enrolled at South East Essex college at their Southend Campus for a course in Sound Engineering but at the end of  it I had made up my mind to go directly into Computing. So I did my A+ and Net+ and ended my days there doing CCNA4.

I was really on to it and I applied for The Foundation Degree ( Barchelor of ecommerce) with Basildon College (Anglia Ruskin Accreditted ) in September 2009 but the course was cancelled before it even started due to dropouts.

I had to wait a whole year and eventually I am here.

The main reason I want to do this Course are the opportunities be it in employment or if I were going to run my own business, which is what I really want to do on successful completion. This is one area which you cannot just venture into if you don't know what is involved.
